Yesterday, Joey and I strolled through a park after our class. We were walking on the sidewalk when I saw a French Bulldog on another sidewalk that was at a lower level.

I ran down the stairs to pet the cute dog. Of course, with the permission of the owner, I played with it.

I love the dogs! I don't always understand the people in different countries, but I always understand their dogs!

Una otra adventura luego...Ciao!

Very good post. I'm impressed by Em's spanish. And the picture of the dog is a little weird. It actually looks like he is aware that his picture is being taken. He looks somewhat human and he reminds me of someone - though I can't quite figure out who.

I just thought of who the dog looks like...Mike Needham, former plant engineer at L'Anse.

Hey Em, here are the various milestones on learning to speak a new language:

Weeks 1 and 2 - extreme headaches and nausea while the brain tries to keep up.

Weeks 3 and 4 - begin to understand people without having to stare at their mounths.

Weeks 5 and 6 - occassionally find yourself thinking a few thoughts in the new language.

Weeks 7 and 8 - can begin understanding two speakers speaking to each other.

Weeks 9 and 10 - suddenly saying to oneself: "Hey I think I am speaking Spanish and doing OK."

Weeks 11 and 12 - Enjoying yourself and being comfortable in the new language.

Week 13 and 14 - Reading the newspaper with a fair degree of ease.

Bye for now.
