I think I have clipped the 500 picture mark (if not, I am certainly close) and frequently I have photos that for whatever reason (usually because I err on the side of the photos with me in them) simply can not be inserted into the blog. So I am going to do a blog of photos. Bo and Baba: Don't print this one out...just look on the screen.

Hola, Pepe, I'm glad you are settled in one place for a bit. I agree with your Dad; I was exhausted just reading about some of your days.
I have a few questions for you, and here they are, in no particular order:
1- Are you giving us the temperatures in Centigrade or Fahrenheit?
2- Zymurgical? Schminkle? Are you entering some kind of Scrabble contest when you come back?
3- Do the youth hostels still have a little 'passport' that they stamp?
4- Just how many German drinking songs did your Dad teach you? Did the lessons include stein hoisting/body swaying techniques? Did you actually sing any of these songs? I have this image of a German father teaching his son the words to 'Show Me the Way to Go Home' to get him ready for a trip to the US.
5- Are the shoes holding up?
6- What computers are you using to do this blogging thing? Do the hostels have them, or are you going to a Cyber Cafe?

I have been in Irun. Back in 74, Spanish trains ran on a different sized rail than French trains. When we were going from Madrid to Paris, the Spanish train stopped at Irun, you got off the train, walked across the border, and then boarded the French train.

I like the picture of you writing on the train. Has a cozy feel.

Hope you have a good stay in Salamanca; although, it will probably seem quite small to you now. Everybody sing- 'How are you gonna keep'em down in the farm after they have seen Paree!'

Love

Tia Laura,

1.) Centigrade unless specified otherwise
2.) Hehe, Schminkle nice...
3.)No because they are no longer affliated... they are mostly private (or at least the better ones are)
4.) Let's see... In Munchen Steht eine Hofbrauhaus, Das Funkerlied, Lydie Marlene (s.i.c. for sure), Ein Prosit, Heute Blau
5.)The shoes hav ebeen great! I can tell these are better than my others :) My black socks have worn off into the soles so it is crazy. Only one blister since arriving, these shoes were made for walking ;)
6.) All kinds, hostels, cybercafes and right now on my friend Angela's computer

I think I could have walked across the border easier ;) Turns out that Henyrare is in France...I was confused

Funny you mentioned farm. If I had more time they had a farm hostel in Naples that I almost went to!

"Paree" was shockingly good for 8 hours. I also got a Spanish CD to learn a little more and because it is pretty good. We all got one and are doing some exchanging...
